Walk In Minsitry (WIM) was created November 2005 becasue individuals were often going from church to synagoges seeking help for immediate needs. Our local congregations have been frustrated in serving those who came to their doors, without having any real program to help.
Our Mission
By centraliziation and pooling the resources of several faith communities as well as individual donors, WIM works with clients from the surrounding areas, assisting those seeking help by:
Listening compassionately to issues identifying underlying problems and/or providing immediate assistance or referring them to appropriate service organizations.
The WIM program succeeds because cleints are required to be accountable and actively involved in this process.
Our Goals
To provide a place where those who have met unexpected challenges can find emergency support that helps them back to a more stable life
To identify larger systemic issues that guide future decisions and services
To better utilize the resources of the faith community
To establish partnerships with businesses
To engage a dedicated group of volunteers with diverse backgrounds to ensure a range of perspectives and experiences.
Our Policy
We never give out cash under any circumstances.
We make clients accountable for services provided.
We are not a sustained provider of services such as food, transportation, or clothing.
Clients who do not pay back the loan according to the signed agreement will not be allowed any more services.
